Marble Polishing

It is very important to understand how polishing works...

Over time, marble begins to show signs of damage… Such as dull shine, scratches, stains and even those dark, dirty joints on floors.

But don’t worry, another of our specialties is marble polishing.
Polishing consists of a few fundamental steps… How to remove imperfections, close pores, and restore the stone’s natural shine.
But first of all we have to eliminate all the imperfections that the marble may have. To do this we use a sequence of 3 abrasive diamond sandpapers exclusive to marble.

Ok, right after removing the imperfections that the marble has, we can begin the process of closing the pores. To do this, we will use another sequence of 4 sandpapers, completing a sequence of 7 sandpapers for the complete polishing.

After the complete sanding sequence, the marble pores will be closed enough to extract the natural shine of the coating. Finally, we will use a professional-use powder made for marble as a final polish to close the porosity and provide an impressive shine.

Now that the marble is polished, it goes through the waterproofing and heat-checking process that will form a protective film preserving the natural shine of the stone, making the marble around 70% more resistant to scratches and stains.
